Samsung unveiled three LED TV Series at the CES 2009 earlier this year with the Series 6, Series 7, and Series 8. If you want it all, the Samsung LED TV Series 8 is for you.
The 55 inch Samsung UN55B8000 is the top of the line LED TV Samsung is offering and it is supposed to ship soon. The Samsung UN55B8000 carries an MSRP of $3,999.99, but you get a ton of features for that money besides the new 240Hz LED backlit display panel.
The feature highlights of the Samsung UN55B8000 LED include Mega Contrast: 5,000,000:1, 240Hz Auto Motion Plus, Internet@TV that allows you to receive content via Yahoo!, Flickr, and other online TV Widgets on screen, USB 2.0 Movie: Multi-Media Center makes it easy to watch movies, browse photos and listen to music on your TV, up to 40% less power consumption than conventional LCDs and a ToC (touch of color) bezel beginning as a deep piano black, fading into distinct chrome and finishing as a clear prism.
The new LED technology allows Samsung to make this beautiful HDTV extremely thin at 1.2 inches. The ToC styling of the Samsung UN55B8000 underlines the ultra-thin appearance of this LED TV.
If you want the ultimate LED TV, then do not waste time on the Samsung Series 7 (only 120Hz) or Series 6 (only 120Hz, no Internet@TV, no USB 2.0 Movie), go for the gold: Samsung Series 8 UN55B8000. (There is also a 46 inch in the Series 8, but why bother if you can have 55 inch).
Some electronics retailers like Abt already offer the Samsung UN55B8000 LED TV up for pre-order at a price of $3,599.99. The availability should be broader soon. The Samsung LED TV Series 7 just recently began shipping for instance from Amazon.com.
