Intel has launched its newest and largest marketing campaign in an effort to refocus the consumer's attention on its contributions to science and the products of tomorrow. Today's consumers are not as interested in having an Intel CPU inside their computer as they are interested in computers that do what they want them to.
The marketing campaign is said to be larger even than the "Multiply" campaign that touted the Core 2 Duo processor in 2006. Intel says the new marketing campaign will kickoff in full force on May 11th, but limited ads for the new campaign are running online today. My favorite Intel campaign was the one that used the Blue Man Group. I don’t remember what it was advertising though.
“Most of the world knows Intel as a huge, multi-national chipmaker, but the company is much more than that,” said Paul Venables, the agency’s founder and co-creative director. “The more we learned about Intel, the more we realized how narrow our perception had been. This company is forging the future in so many unfathomable ways, and what a shame it is that the general consumer has no idea.”
