Casio Japan announces Wrist Watch made for walking. The STR-400J-1JF Wrist Computer measures the consumption of calories, the walking distance, the number of steps.
Athletes can program goals and the watch is vibrating and shows graphics if a certain goal is achieved.
The watch also can be used to pace the walking with an audio signal.
The measurements are automatically recorded for up to 10 weeks and a report is calculated.
This is a very specialized Watch that only makes sense for people who are into walking. I guess we will see more of those very specialized devices in the near future. It is definitly an interesting trend.
The watch will sell for 10,000yen.
