DisplayLink Provides New High Performance GPUs to Samsung

DisplayLink has announced that it is providing its new line of higher performance USB GPUs to Samsung for use in the new Samsung line of LapFit notebook companion monitors. The new displays use the DisplayLink DL-125, DL-165, and DL-195 GPUs to allow for easy addition of external monitors via docking stations and other devices.
The new series of GPUs offers multiple video outputs including DVI and analog as well as LVDS, DisplayPort, and HDMI. All of the video outputs support 32-bit color and full screen HD video playback. The different GPU models support different resolutions.
The DL-195 is the best performing of the new devices with supported resolutions of 2048 x 1152, the DL-165 supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080, and the DL-125 supports resolutions of 1440 x 1050. Samsung is the first to use the new line of GPUs in consumer products and the displays offered form the manufacturer measure 18.5-inches and 21.5-inches.
