SEGA just announced that a brand new AvP FPS is in development and on its way to be displayed at E3. In this new FPS, players will be able to play as either Aliens, Predators, or Colonial marines. Each race will have its own single-player campaign, as well as a plethora of multiplayer options.
The original AvP is one of the best FPS games ever made. Back in 1999 when it first came out I spent hours scaring myself to death in the Marine campaign. Up until that point, I'd never played a FPS that genuinely managed to startle or scare me. I don't know if this new AvP is going to be able to compare with the original, but Sega is certainly going to try.
Aliens vs. Predator will be released on the 360, the PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. Right now Sega anticipates an early 2010 release, although that's still up in the air. The teaser trailer is out right now, and we'll be seeing a lot more solid gameplay info after E3.
