I have never heard of this, but apparently Plasma TV Screens have infrared emission that is introducing noise on infrared wireless microphones. A Plasma TV and a wireless micrphone? Ah, of course Karaoke bars.
So JVC Victor announced a new 50 inch wide-screen Plasma TV, called GM-X50R with a infrared filter built-in in front. Besides IR blocking the JVC Plasma TV supports up to 1366×768 dots and a 2000:1 contrast ratio.
The new JVC Plasma TV is aimed at businesses and goes on sale this week in Japan.
More details in JVC press-release (Japanese). (via Soroban Geeks).
