Ford has announced a new Sync application that is available as a free download for owners of any 2010 Ford vehicle equipped with Sync. To get the free application owners need to go to the Syncmyride.com website and download the TDI application.
TDI stands for Traffic, Directions, and Information. The app connects the drivers Bluetooth cell phone to Ford's Delivery Service Network for voice prompted turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic control and other information like sports and weather forecasts.
The TDI application will be offered on all 2010 Sync equipped Ford vehicles this summer. Ford says the new application doesn't increase the price of Sync over the $395 MSRP it currently commands. The application will have no monthly subscription fees for the first three years of vehicle ownership.
