NVIDIA seems to really get traction with their Ion platform for netbooks, small PCs and media devices.
NVIDIA Ion is to be found in 21 new products at the COMPUTEX 2009 and the list includes big players like Asus, Acer, Lenovo and MSI, contrary to their current list of Tegra powered MID supporters.
The new NVIDIA ION-based PCs and platform solutions are great for high definition video, mainstream gaming, and GPU-accelerated video and photo editing applications that take advantage of NVIDIA CUDA technology.
Ion also supports DirectX 10 as part of Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 7 operating system.
Ion powered devices that we already know about are the Acer AspireRevo and the Lenovo IdeaPad S12. Joining the list is the Asus Eee Top ET2002 (photo), MSI Windbox D200, MSI Windtop AE2201 and several more.
