Moments ago, Sony announced that more than 50 classic PlayStation 1 games were being put up for download on the PlayStation Network. One of those new games is out today; Final Fantasy 7 is back.
FF7 is one of the most successful role-playing games in history, and original copies of the PS1 game routinely sell online for more than their old retail price. Now fans of the legendary Square classic can play their favorite game once more.
Again, this FF7 release is just the first of 100 old titles getting new life on the PlayStation Network. In addition to a slew of old-games-made-new, Sony also intends to put out over a hundred new items per month on their network as a way to keep fans coming back for more. That's good news for fans of the PSP, and for anyone who owns a PlayStation 2 or 3.
