Anyone with kids will tell you that taking a long road trip can be like descending into hell. The kids are good for about an hour then they flip out and the rest of the trip is a nightmare for most parents. One way to keep kids happy is with a DVD movie or other game.
The problem for really long road trips is that the kids get bored watching Nemo for the hundredth time. AT&T has announced that its CruiseCast mobile satellite TV service has now launched. The service streams the same TV that you can watch at home to your car.
AT&T offers some of the biggest networks around on the service including SCI FI, USA, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Network mobile, Disney, Adult Swim Mobile and several more. Some of those channels may have dad riding in the back while mom drives. The antenna can be roof rack mounted or magnetically mounted to the roof. The system retails for $1299 with monthly service costing $28.
