Earlier today in our Palm Pre Review Round-up we featured Mossberg's Palm Pre review for the Wall Street Journal. In this review Mr. Mossberg made several references to the new iPhone 2009.
I agree with Engadget that his comments regarding the new iPhone have something more to it that can be read between the lines.
It could be that the new iPhone is already in Walt Mossberg's hands. If the rumored July release for the new iPhone is true than it is about time to hand out review samples to prime reviewers.
In regards to the new iPhone Walt Mossberg said in his Pre review:
"...I'd note that the new iPhone to be unveiled next week will have lots of added features..."

"...new iPhone hardware coming, likely available within a month..."

"I expect to see an iPhone with up to 32 gigabytes of memory, video recording, a higher-resolution camera, a compass, and greater operating speed."

"Apple will announce at least one iPhone at a drastically lower price than $199."

"Apple isn't likely to match two of the Pre's big advantages: multitasking and a physical keyboard."

The last three reveal nothing new, but gives these rumored new iPhone aspects more credibility.
