Computex has had some impressive devices debuted at the show so far and EB has now added one to the interesting products at the show. EB has debuted a new reference design for a MID running on the latest Intel Moorestown platform.
The reference design will be offered to wireless carriers and other manufacturers looking to build a MID capable of voice, text, and other forms of communication along with mobile Internet service. EB says that the product can also be customized to meet the needs of the user.
The design features an optimized Linux-based user interface that is Moblin compliant. The device also uses the latest 3D and haptics touch screen tech for sensation when the screen is touched. HDMI connectivity is built-in to the design. The reference design also includes EB software for navigation and other functions.
