Maingear has announced what it is claiming to be the world's greenest gaming PC. The machine is a small form factor gaming rig using NVIDIA Ion graphics. The machine is the first ION PC that can be upgraded with a GeForce GPU.
The little machine is available with Intel Core 2 45nm processors and an 80+ Certified 300 watt PSU that is 80% efficient. Gamers wanting more power can add a GeForce 9800 GT ECO graphics card that needs 40% less power than a standard 9800 GT video card requires.
The video card is available in 512MB and 1GB configurations. Pulse configs with the 9800 ECO video card can also be optioned with a 65 watt Intel Core 2 Quad CPU. Options include Blu-ray and a TV tuner. The Pulse starts at $799.
