The Entertainment Software Association closed the annual E3 Expo yesterday and announced the dates for E3 2010. Next year E3 will run later in the month starting on June 15th and closing on June 17th. The ESA also reported that the 2009 E3 show was a hit.
Over the two day expo over 41,000 attendees from 78 countries attended the show. That is a big change from 2007 when the show sucked royally and there were like 5 of us there. At this year's show there were 216 exhibitors.
“We are pleased that this year’s E3 Expo was so successful for our members and exhibitors in terms of sales, business development and profile-building,” said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA, the trade association that represents U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns the E3 Expo. “E3 Expo is truly the world stage and spotlight that the interactive entertainment industry has earned as a leader in entertainment. We are looking forward to building on this great momentum for 2010.”
