The Palm Pre launched on Saturday and it looks like the Pre is not free from launch hardware issues. In the Palm support community several users report that their Palm Pre gets extremely hot during charging and the battery is dying after 3 hours on stand-by.
This issues point towards faulty batteries. The number of posts in this thread is not crazy high, but high enough to be an issue.

Still the number of Palm Pre reports seem to not be overly high. Some faulty units are most always the case when a new product launches. As long as Sprint and Palm can replace units fast, it is not that big of a deal, just bad luck that early adopters need to take like men.
