Were you a fan of the Samsung i900 Omnia? Do you like 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screens and 8.1 megapixel cameras? If so, we've got some good news for you today. An irresponsible Lithuanian online retailer has leaked an image and product info for the new Samsung i1800 Omnia2.
The Omnia2 is a high-end smartphone with specs that can stand up against an iPhone 3GS without looking anemic. In addition to that big touch screen and awesome camera, the Omnia2 has a dual LED flash, 150 MB of internal memory, 30 fps video recording, a Qualcomm processor, an SD card slot, 3G support, GPS, and WiFi.
Samsung has crammed a lot of features into one phone, I just wish they'd left out Windows Mobile. The Omnia2's OS is supposed to be heavily customized, so perhaps it will end up being much smoother than other Win Mobile phones. No pricing or release information has gone out yet, but we should hear something before the end of the 'Samsung Unpacked' event on June 15th.
