It's been a big day for Samsung already, and the new announcements just keep rolling out. The Samsung Jet smartphone has officially been announced. The Jet has a 3.1” WVGA AMOLED screen, an 800mHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, and built-in GPS.

There's a lot of excitement about Samsung's TouchWiz 2.0 user interface. TouchWiz 2.0 has a 3D media gate and motion-response UI, smart unlock, and a customizable widget screen. DivX and Xvid video support are also included, which will make downloading and playing media files on this smartphone much less of a chore.

We've got no information on the Jet's release date or price as of yet, but expect to hear something solid within the next couple of days. This baby looks like it's going to be ready for launch very soon.
