Okay, so you're an Apple fanatic. You watched the WWDC conference live and ordered your iPhone 3GS as soon as you heard they were available for pre-order. For the last two weeks you've been waiting, knuckles white and arteries taut with tension, for your brand new smart-toy to arrive. When you heard that your 3GS had shipped, you were ecstatic, but it hasn't made the wait until Friday any easier to bear.

Well, I've got some good news for you. We've just heard that the first 3GS's to ship will be arriving early. The earliest pre-orders should be arriving on June 17th, two days ahead of the announced June 19th release date.

That's awesome news for iPhone-lovers, and a sign that Apple has really perfected the art of the smartphone roll-out. So far, the launch of the 3GS has been one of the best managed we've seen. Hopefully other smartphone manufacturers will learn from Apple's example, and we'll see a rise in roll-out quality soon.
