Mitsubishi Electronics has announced its latest projector called the XD600U. The projector is the first in the new family of high brightness 3D-ready units from Mitsubishi and offers 4500 lumens of brightness from a long-life lamp.
The lamp is rated to last up to 5,000 hours under normal operating conditions in low mode. The XD600U is designed with the latest DDP2230 and DLP link chipset to support 3D content. Users wanting to watch 3D content will need DLP Link-capable 3D glasses.
The projector also has an RJ-45 port for control over the Internet. Inputs include dual 15-pin computer inputs, S-video, and RCA. Also included are HDMI inputs and a pair of 3.5mm audio inputs and a variable 3.5mm audio output. The contrast ratio is 2000:1. Shipping of the projector is set for Q3 2009 at an undisclosed price.
