Tomorrow is the big day. The iPhone 3GS will be out in stores all across the United States. Pre-orders are going to land, Apple is going to make millions of dollars and, with any luck, we'll hear at least one story about a iPhone owner beating a mugger unconscious with his new gadget. Anyway, if you're going to be braving the crowds tomorrow to get your iPhone 3GS, there are a few changes you should know about.

For one thing, the Apple Stores are opening at 7 A.M tomorrow. You'll only be able to get in early if you have a pre-order in the store, however. Everyone else has to wait until 9 before they can try their luck at getting a non-reserved 3GS. If you pre-ordered an iPhone but asked to have it delivered it'll be coming in the mail tomorrow. You won't get it at 7 in the morning, but you won't have to get up early either.

If you're planning on picking up a non-reserved phone there are a couple of things you need to know. First, each customer is limited to a maximum of one phone. Sorry. Second, Apple stores are expected to sell out fast. If your nearest Apple store is expecting a rush you're going to need to get there very early if you want a reasonable shot at getting your phone. Try calling the store manager ahead of time to ask what sort of rush they are anticipating.

If you're planning on going to an AT&T store, good news! They're also open at 7 for pre-order customers. ATT also would like you to know that if you inherit an iPhone 3G from a friend or family member, you'll need to drop by the AT&T store in order to activate it. If you like, AT&T will provide you with an SIM card that you can activate on iTunes.
