HP has announced a new printer that is hailed as the world's first web-enabled printer. The reason for the web connectivity is to give users access to popular digital content. The large touchscreen is used to browse content online.
Users can download apps for the printer from HP and more apps will be offered as time goes by. The apps that are available with the printer now allow users to print custom daily news, maps, coupons, coloring pages, movie tickets, recipes and more.
The printer can also connect to a users Snapfish account allowing them to view, print, and upload images. The printer has a 4.33-inch touchscreen and can print, fax, and copy with wired and wireless connectivity options. The HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web will launch this fall for $399.
