Intel and Nokia Announce Partnership

Intel and Nokia have made their official announcement which was previously teased by Intel when they saidn important announcement with Nokia was coming. If you were expecting a new Nokia netbook to debut or a smartphone running an Intel processor, you are going to be disappointed.
The announcement is an agreement between the two firms to work on new mobile devices using Intel CPUs and technology. Part of the agreement also has Intel licensing some Nokia patents on 3G modems to use in future products.
Intel licensed Nokia HSPA and 3G modem technologies specifically. The two companies will also work together on open source software like Moblin among others. No new products were announced.
