Yes, you heard right, a 3G tent. As in a portable camping domicile that comes with its own 3G WiFi connection. And that's not all this beauty can do. The 'solar concept tent', as it is currently known, is made out of photovoltaic fabric and boasts several adjustable top-mounted solar panels. On a sunny day, Orange's tent will be able to provide you with enough power to keep all of your gadgets up and running.
The tent contains a central wireless control hub LCD panel. The panel shows you how much energy is being generated and used, and also gives you control over the 3G WiFi. Charging your gizmos in the solar tent is easy. Just drop them into the charging pouch and magnetic induction will charge your stuff without any wires or plugs needed.
If it's cold where you camp, the tent has a heating element inside of the ground cloth. It'll keep you nice and cozy during those cold winter campouts. If you're out at a big event and you forget where your tent is, you can just text it. Send an SMS to the solar tent and it will start to glow, guiding you back to its warm, WiFi-enabled embrace.
To be honest, you can't really call it camping if you're using a tent like this. It's significantly nicer than my first apartment, and probably gets better Internet access as well. Whether it's any cheaper has yet to be announced, but hopefully Orange will get this sweet little number put into production in time for the next Burning Man.
