Big news, Android fans. The myTouch 3G, the next 'with Google' Android device coming out in the U.S, could be in stores as early as August 5th. Pre-ordering for the myTouch starts on July 8th and goes theough July 28th. The actual release date hasn't been announced yet, but thanks to a judicious amount of sleuthing Android and Me has managed to uncover what looks like the dev server for the myTouch 3G website.

It looks a little bit dubious at first, but the screenshots they provide seem to be on the up-and-up , and Android and Me is a pretty reliable site as a rule. I'd say there's a better than even chance this rumor turns out to be true. If you're planning to grab a myTouch 3G, you should probably have your money ready by August 5th. Just in case.
