Apple has written the name of the new iPhone with a space between 3G and S in the Apple store and on slides. The press-release that announced that Apple sold 1 million iPhone 3GS in the first weekend had no space between 3G and S and just called it iPhone 3GS. I complained in my coverage about this inconsistency.
Now Apple has apparently adopted this naming convention consistently as the company has changed the naming of the new iPhone in the Apple Store to iPhone 3GS as well.
I now have to apologize to my colleague Robert as I always edited his iPhone 3GS stories and put a space in between 3G and S: I am so sorry.
Anyway, from now on we will call the new iPhone, iPhone 3GS.
