We received news earlier today about the iPhone 3.1 update being released to developers. Since then, we've heard additional news about what we can look forward to in the 3.1 update. It's shaping up to be a doozy of a patch. Here's a list of new features;
Update:iPhone OS 3.1 Has Been Released1. Some bug fixes (iPhone overheating, perhaps?)
2. The ability to 'save a copy' of your video recordings without overwriting the original recording.
3. The ability to save video attachments to your photo album.
4. Now you can use Voice Control over Bluetooth.
5. It looks like users will now have the ability to insert multimedia into MMS messages.
6. Improved battery life for the 3GS.
7. Vibration feedback for homescreen icons.
8. Now iTunes store icons will move back to their default position after closing the app.
More features will surely be announced over the next couple of days as developers continue to poke around 3.1. We'll continue to keep you updated as more leaks filter in.
