Nielsen unveiled some interesting statistics about traffic to the Apple.com site in May.
Apple.com took the #1 spot in the Hardware Manufacturer destination beating HP with more than double the visitors. Apple had 55m unique visitors in May, which is supposed to be driven by the pending iPhone 3GS announcement.
The more stunning metrics is that visitors on the Apple site spent on average 1 hour and 14 minutes on the site. This is average, which means lots of people actually spent much more time on the Apple site.
It would be interesting to see the statistics for June, when Apple actually announced the iPhone 3GS.
