Have a Mac? Want to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS with the new purplera1n? Well now you can! PurpleRa1n for Mac is out, the Windows version has already been available for a couple of days. About two weeks after the launch of the iPhone 3GS you can pretty much do with it the same things as with the iPhone 3G. It seems that UltraSn0w, the SIM unlocker for the 3G, also works for the 3GS. As always using tools like these is risky, especially at this early stage.
You can get PurpleRa1n for your iPhone here. Via 9to5mac. Once you have that, you can install Ultrasn0w and then be good to go. 9To5Mac says that the whole process should only take about 15 minutes.
