SanDisk has announced a new summer video contest called the SanDisk 60-second summer Mobile Phone video contest. The goal of the contest is to remind consumers that their mobile phone is a camcorder, assuming you aren’t one of the hoards of people with an iPhone or iPhone 3G that can’t record video.
The other goal is to get people to buy memory cards for their phone, preferably a SanDisk brand. The good news is that anyone can enter; you don’t have to be using SanDisk products. The grand prize winner of the contest will get $5000.
Five $1000 weekly prizes will be given away as well and each week 25 finalists will win a SanDisk mobile memory card and a Mobilemate Micro Reader along with a t-shirt. The contest is running now through August 31st and videos can be uploaded to the YouTube link below.
