When something seems too good to be true, it usually is. The Google OS leaked screenshots from this morning have been revealed as fraudulent by the poster himself.
Apparently the man behind the hoax is a graphic designer, and he cobbled together some screenshots that looked vaguely plausible and stuck them up online accompanied by an appropriately vague story. After his story gained significant traffic he decided it was time to come clean and admit his story was false.
“I am sorry if you beleived it. It was a really bad attempt. You all are smart people. I never planned on it getting this big. But it did. (Come one, I know the Google logo. I am actually a graphic designer, I just wanted to see reactions if it was a crappy back.)”
The prankster put up a video here that details the spread of his story. While it's a little disappointing that his 'leak' turned out to be bull, I've got to give him kudos for fleecing so many people (including me) and, more importantly, fessing up quickly.
