Right on the heels of a similar announcement from Verizon, Sprint has stated that all of their future mobile releases will have built-in WiFi. They also announced that a modified version of the BlackBerry Tour with WiFi will be released next year.

This could put a damper on sales of the current BlackBerry Tour, which will launch on Sunday for $199.99. Sprint hasn't given us an actual launch date for the new Tour, but they have said that it will come out in the first of the year. If you're planning on picking one up this weekend, you may want to reconsider. The WiFi version will probably cost about the same, since they'll be using it to replace the current Tour in their inventory.

As it turns out, Sprint only decided to release the Tour now because Verizon is launching with it the same day. Apparently being the quick to launch was more important than any other concerns they might have had. We'll know on Monday if their choice to release now was a good one or not.
