Here's a tiny leak about the upcoming Microsoft Office 2010 release you might have missed. Apparently, both 64 and 32-bit versions of programs in the Office suite will be on the DvD when it goes on sale. This is a very convenient move by Microsoft, and I'd be willing to bet it's because their Vista sales have given them a good idea of just how many people there are running at both levels.
The only two Office 2010 programs that won't be 32-bit compatible are Project Server 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010. You'll need to upgrade to 64-bit hardware for either of those. Microsoft's also stated that 'certain' hardware setups and operating system versions could require an upgrade to handle server/client applications.
All of the other Office apps will be available in 32 and 64 bit, all on one DvD. We'll bring you more information as it continues to filter in.
