Apple released the next beta version of the upcoming iPhone 3.1 firmware update to developers.
The first iPhone 3.1 beta was released end of June. Looking at the pace of releases we should soon see the iPhone 3.1 released to iPhone owners.
Apparently there are no changes in the feature set compared to the first iPhone 3.1 beta.
MacRumors reports that the only discovered major change in iPhone beta 2 is that AT&T customers cannot use the little hacks to enable tethering on the iPhone OS 3.0 anymore.
AT&T is planning to charge extra for tethering, so they sure put pressure on Apple to close all hacks before they launch the tethering option in September.
