A new brand of green rechargeable batteries is now shipping to retailers across the nation. The batteries are called UltraLast Batteries and are billed as Everyday Rechargables. The batteries are intended for use in high consumption devices and were first seen at CES in January.
The batteries promise to be rechargeable up to 500 times or three years. The company says that by using one set of their rechargeable batteries users can keep 1,000 disposable batteries out of landfills and save $100 or more per year.
The batteries are also packed inside green packaging with a package made of eco-friendly materials like recycled cardboard and PET plastic. The batteries themselves are also fully recyclable.
