Here at I4U News we do a lot of coverage about Apple. Not because we are Apple fanboys, but because everything Apple does is extremely interesting to a huge part of the technology community world-wide.
I personally stayed away from Apple products for a long time. Now, for a couple weeks I have owned an iPhone 3GS and besides the disappointing battery life it is just extremely perfect.
I do not want to get into a detailed review of the iPhone 3GS here. I just want to describe the experience I had at an event this week that had several of the new touchscreen smartphones on display.
I could try the new HTC Hero along with the Omnia II and several other currently available smartphones.
Overall my impression is that the experience using the HTC Hero and the Omnia II for instance is that of using cute high-tech toys and not a productive mobile internet and communication device.

I know that these "toy" smartphones will find their customers, and maybe it's just me, but they are by far not providing as not much value as the iPhone 3GS.
