Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 Camera Unveiled

Panasonic has announced a new addition to the Lumix point-and-shoot camera line called the DMC-ZR1. The camera features the world's first 0.3mm thick aspherical lens. The lens allows the compact camera to have a compact body and feature a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens and 8x optical zoom.
The ZR1 has a zoom range of 25 to 200mm and a 12.1MP sensor. The camera also supports video recording and the eightx zoom can be used with video. The start-up time for the cam is 1.1 seconds. The rear LCD is a 2.7-inch unit and the internal battery can take 330 images on a single charge.
The ZR1 also features mega OIS, Face Recognition, hand shake component, travel mode, and a high dynamic mode. Software is also bundled with the camera that allows users to view and edit photos. The camera will ship in September for $279.95.
