If you're an AT&T customer and not quite ready to plunge into owning an iPhone, the budget Samsung Solstice A887 may be much more your style. It costs only $99.99 with a contract, has a slick design, and packs enough power under the hood to keep a new smartphone owner happy.
First off, it's got a full touch display with a full touch QWERTY keypad, complete with vibration response to touch. It's also got a 2.0 megapixel camera that can record video, aGPS with AT&T Navigator and turn-by-turn instructions, mobile Email and Instant Messenger. The Solstice can share video and comes with stereo Bluetooth enabled. It's battery has five hours of talk time, and a 10.4 day standby life.
On the whole, the Solstice is a pretty solid 3G feature phone. At $99 with a 2 year contract, $174 with a 1 year contract, and $249 for the unlocked version (all prices include $50 rebate) this smartphone is one of the better deals you'll find on any low-end smartphone.
