1 in 63 Smartphones Infected with Spyware or malware

A study conducted by SMobile Systems, a provider of mobile phone security software has found that 1 in 63 mobile phones is infected with spyware or malware. The study was done with 1,958 smartphones and reveled they were infected with spyware, viruses, works, and Trojans.
In addition to the malware, the phones were also littered with unlicensed programs. The study predicts that the number of infected devices globally reaches into the millions. Most users are unaware that their devices are infected says the company.
The company sells and markets anti-theft and identity protection and security shield software to protect users for this sort of threat. The company said that the spyware is found on the phone sin the study was capable of intercepting email and SMS messages as well as allowing hackers to listen in on voice calls.
