The New Huawei Android 8220?

We've been waiting since June for news about the new Android smartphone from Chinese handset maker Huawei. Now according to TmoNews that wait might nearly be over. They've heard rumblings that the 8220 will be coming to T-Mobile USA as well as over to Europe soon. The 8230 was originally believed to be heading for a Q3 U.S. launch, but that seems unlikely now.
The 8220, AKA the Pulse, however, might be bound for our shores. I certainly hope it is; the Pulse has just earned its WiFi certificate (thanks, AndroidGuys!), and it has got a host of hot features we could use on this side of the pond. Like a 3.5” touchscreen, a 3MP camera, 256 MB starting memory (up to 16 GB expandable), and the Android operating system. No news on RAM or processor power yet, but compared to the G1 and the somewhat anemic myTouch, the 8220 looks pretty dreamy.
I don't want to get any hopes up just to dash them, but the fact that the 8220s WiFi certificate named it as the T-Mobile Pulse is a very good sign for an upcoming U.S. release. It's too early to say when, but I think T-Mo would be crazy to wait past the Holiday season. A whole ton of new Android phones are going to drop in then, and they're going to want to take advantage of the mania while it lasts.
