One of the things that many have been wondering about was the pricing that Sprint would attach to the 4G service it offers in a few cities around the country. Two of the most recent additions to the Sprint 4G WiMax locations was Las Vegas and Portland, Oregon.
Sprint announced today that it's 4G service offering download speeds of over 10 Mbps peak and 3-6 Mbps on average is now available for consumers in these cities to use for only $10 per month more than its 3G service.
That should make plans for 4G in these cities available for about $70 per month. Sprint has several 4G devices coming to market this year including a data card, embedded laptops, and a 4G mobile phone. At this point only dual-mode 3G and 4G modems are available.
