Creative's Zii just emailed that the Zii Plaszma Starter Kit is now available. The Zii Plaszma is the 1st StemCell Computer.
Creative announced the new Zii StemCell platform at the CES 2009 earlier this year.
The Zii Plaszma Starter is aimed at developers and actually also runs Android besides the Paszma OS.
The Zii Plaszma Platform provides developers, system integrators, OEMs and ODMs with the essential building blocks to rapidly and efficiently create compelling media-rich devices and applications and bring them to market under their own brand. The Zii Plaszma Platform comprises: the Zii EGG StemCell Computer, ZMS-05 System Module, ZMS-05 Media Rich Applications Processor, Plaszma OS and Plaszma SDK.

The Zii Plaszma Platform supports Android and the Android SDK, giving developers the chance to use the familiar Android OS. The difference, however, is the marked improvement in High-definition and 3D Graphics performance.

Features of the Zii EGG (PMP) include 3.5 multi-gesture touchscreen (10 points), GPS, 3-axis accelerometer, X-Fi Audio, 32GB internal memory, 256MB RAM, 2 cameras, HD out, Wifi, Bluetooth and USB.
Measurements are 115x62x12mm and the weight is 108g.

The Zii Egg is an impressive portable media device, but apparently Creative still needs Apps. That is why they offers this Starter Kit at an attractive price. If they are lucky the Zii Egg can become the iPod touch of the Android community.

The Zii Paszma Starter Kit sells now for $399 on the Zii site.
