Canon Unveils First Mac-compatible Scanners for Business

Canon has unveiled its first Mac compatible scanners for business users. The company has unveiled a pair of scanners called the imageFormula DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanners for high-speed document scanning. The scanners are aimed at home, office, and educational use.
Both scanners use a Mac TWAIN driver and have bundled CaptureOnTouch one-touch scanning software for Mac systems. The software allows one-touch scanning directly to email, printers, network folders, and applications that can send images to the iPhone.
The 2510M can scan pages at 25-ppm simplex and 50 images per minute in duplex mode. The 2010m scans at 20 ppm in simplex and 40 ipm in duplex mode. The scanners also feature image scanning at 600 dpi. The 2510M will sell for $795 and the 2010M will sell for $555 and are available now.
