The Samsung I7500 Galaxy is one of the hottest Android smartphones out on the market right now. Unfortunately, right now it's still only available in Europe (coming soon to the UK!), and those of us across the pond might have to wait a long while before we get one. On the plus side, the I7500's cheaper little brother could be coming here shortly. According to Samsung Hub the Samsung GT-I5700 has just been approved by the FCC.

The GT-I5700 is also known as the Samsung Galaxy Lite. It is a budget version of the I7500, and it will come with WiFi capability and support GSM bands. Other than that, we don't know what features it will have or what it will share with the I7500. Personally, I'm hoping the Galaxy Lite still packs the OLED screen of the Galaxy.

The only other bit of information we have from the application is the picture seen above. That is a rendering of the back of the Galaxy Lite. We can see a slot for a camera up there, and that's pretty much all. Keep your fingers crossed, US Android fans. Nothing is known about this phone's release date or cost, but more info will (hopefully) leak out soon.
