The new OS X Snow Leopard Update will ship this Friday globally. Apple promises with Snow Leopard hundreds of refinements, new core technologies and out of the box support for Microsoft Exchange.
What most Mac users are concerned though is if the new Snow Leopard update is actually making their Mac faster.
Macworld took OS X 10.6 to a speed test across 16 different tasks. Half of these tests showed indeed performance gains with the new Mac OS.
Some results are even very impressive, like the Time Machine Backup test that leads to a 10 minutes and more time savings.
On the other hand the other half of Macworld's tests showed now performance gains.
Still for $29 you actually get a lot for your money. Besides the performance gains you lookat lots of other improvements. Buy your Snow Leopard on the Apple Store or on Amazon.com.
