One of the things that I never really liked about the Nintendo Wii was that it was Internet enabled, but if you wanted to surf the web on the console you had to buy the Internet channel. Nintendo has announced that the Internet channel is now available free of charge to all Wii owners.
The only way this isn’t good news is if you already paid for the Internet Channel. The Internet Channel can be downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel and allows users to surf the net, check email, and more. Previously the internet Channel cost 500 Wii Points to download.
Nintendo also says that the Internet channel is updated to support the Adobe Flash Player as well. Nintendo recognizes that users who paid for the internet Channel might be upset and it is offering those who paid one free NES game download valued at 500 Wii Points from the virtual console.
