Logitech has officially announced another new universal remote called the Harmony 700. This new remote is designed to simplify the home entertainment experience by replacing up to six remote controls. The device has a small color screen, rechargeable batteries, and one lick control for activities.
Like the other Harmony remotes, the 700 allows you to set up an activity that changes all the inputs for tasks like play a game or watch TV. The color LCD screen shows icons for channels that can be pressed for direct access.
The 700 runs off rechargeable AA batteries good for several weeks of use per charge and ships with a plug-in charger. Programming of the remote is with the same Harmony software that we have seen with all other Logitech remotes. The 700 will ship in September for $149.99 making it one of the less expensive remotes on the market.
