Earlier this morning we talked about the new Epson home theater projectors for enthusiasts. Epson has also announced a pair of new projectors today that are aimed at the pro installer market. The projectors are the PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 and 9500 UB. The projectors are both 1080p 3LCD units with lots of similarities to the two consumer projectors I already talked about.
The 9100 has both ISF day and night modes for switching picture modes and lamp output. The projector also uses Epson Color Isolation system for fine-tuning of color saturation and hue without needing blue and red optical filters. The contrast ratio is 16,000:1 with 1800 lumens of brightness.
The 9500 UB features the Epson C2Fine and UltraBlack technology with 3LCD and D7 technology for black levels and vivid images. The projector has 200,000:1 contrast ratio and 1600 lumens of brightness. The projector also has the Epson 12-bit 3LCD driver and a built-in Silicon Optix HQV Reon-VX video processor. Both projectors will be offered through Epson authorized dealers starting in late October and November at undisclosed pricing.
