Dell Unveils Z Series Laptops

Dell has made its new Z series notebooks official with the debut of the Dell Inspiron 15z and 14z notebooks. Both of the machines have the new Intel Core Solo 2 ULV processors as options for power sipping performance and longer battery life.
The new notebooks are about an inch thick according to Dell and have 16:9 displays. The 14z offers a 14-inch screen and the 15z is a traditional 15.6-inch model. The machines can also be optioned with core 2 duo processors and up to 500GB of storage.
Other features include up to 8Gb of RAM, Wi-Fi, mobile broadband, and a choice of 4-cell or 6-cell standard batteries and 4-cell and 6-cell express charge batteries that can recharge to 80% in only an hour. The machines start at $599 and are available in the US today.
