64 GB iPod Touch Confirmed, Touch Prices Announced

The rumors were true; the size increments of the iPod touch have been confirmed. The 8 GB version will cost $199, the 32 GB touch is $299, and the 64 GB iPod touch will cost $399. That's a hefty chunk of change, but the prospect of a 64 GB iPod touch should be enough to get even the Zune fanboys drooling.
With 64 GBs, the touch will be able to store enough music, movies, podcasts and TV shows to keep you entertained during long, transatlantic flights, cross-country car trips, and even the boring app game announcements at events like the iTunes Rock'n Roll Event.
This new touch should be available from the Apple Store pretty much immediately. Hope you took our advice and saved some spare cash for today. For more news from today's iTunes event, check out the Ars Technica liveblog.
