On its own, HAL is not the best name to give an incredibly strong robot suit. But that's not the worst of it; the manufacturer of this robo-body is actually called Cyberdyne. Seriously, guys, are we just begging for the robot apocalypse to hit now?

Gizmodo notes that the HAL suit is actually being tested in Tokyo right now. This means that normal people are walking down a real-life city street wearing what amounts to a gigantic suit of strength-enhancing power-armor right now. The largest of these suits weighs 50 lbs, and they can apparently help users lift 10x what they are normally capable of.

So what's the price of super-strength and being on the cutting edge of the Robocalypse? Between $1570 and $2300 a month, depending on the version of the suit you go with. That may sound a little expensive right now, but think about it; if you're wearing this suit, there's no way your landlord is going to demand rent or the grocery clerks will make you pay for food. You'll be a walking robotic death dealer. A super-strong exoskeleton is basically the last purchase you ever need to make.
